In the ancient past, when Falyimoar had a much colder and inhospitable temperament and bore the name Phaedra, a race of giant humanoids lived across all of Phaedra. Lead by their gods they waged frequents wars with one another, and giants took to building massive fortresses all across Phaedra. In their fight for conquest, a group of the southern giants tamed massive flying beasts, giving them rule over the skies. The remnants of these giants societies and the scares of their battle can be found all around the continent. Accompanying the disappearance of the giants came the rise of the smaller humanoid races. They came from distant lands across the sea, having out grown the resources of their old homes, they journeyed in search of a new place to call home. Finding a war torn but plentiful land these new peoples sought to end the conflict between the giants, by any means possible./p>
They quickly went to work creating settlements on the shores, which spread further inland with each passing year. Taking over the ruins of the fallen cities of the Eiser. As the years went on the Eiser's numbers dwindled as their gods began to favor peace over endless war. Because the Eiser's lives spent in constant war they could not go long without war breaking out again, incurring the wrath of their gods. Their cities fell one by one, reclaimed by the wilderness. While the last cities of the Eiser were falling Phaedra had become racked with plague, drought, famine and harsh winters.
Raised in a wasteland of ruin a human warrior arose amongst the people. Bent on finding a way to the chamber of the gods to seek their audience, and plead for them to restore the world, killing any who stood in the way of her reaching the chamber. Having fought her into the chamber where the gods are said to lie, she found it empty, determining the Gods had truly abandoned them. Enraged by this discovery she left their temple went out amongst the peoples of Phaedra, preaching of the gods abandonment. That the only way to return peace to their land is to vanquish the Gods and claim their power to use for the betterment of them all.
Day 82
A small bird sized beast that has six wings that move rhythmically so that three wings are always up and down. These creatures appear to be made of an illuminous blue vapor that trails off of them, like the tail of a comet. They are solitary creatures that have never been observed gathering in groups larger than three while in the wild. When bound as a familiar these beasts make excellent loyal companions that will sustain themselves with very little upkeep, only requiring water and air to survive. The whole body of these beast is normally comprised of various gasses, but any part of its body can be changed to a solid state at will, allowing them to grasp onto objects.
Day 83
Cheese is primarily consumed by the denizens the central plains, and serves as a major export for The Theocracy of Rachelis. Hard cheeses are a particularly popular food amongst travelers because of its longevity and high calorie density, while softer cheeses are most popular in villages that farm cattle and amongst the aristocracy of large cities that can afford to have natural or magically created ice during the warmer months to keep it from spoiling.
