Run and created by Daniel Werner the Burgdalin Wiki is a website that hosts information about my Dungeons & Dragons Campaigain, such as Items, Characters, Locations, Events, Session Logs and Spells. On this site, anyone may view, comment on and create posts for the Campaigain that will be displayed on the homepage, drops-page and the files page.

I built this site as a method of making my "loredrops" easier to navigate, edit and read form anywhere. Before creating this site these loredrops were posted exclusivly on a private disord server but when they grew beyond 300 in count they became increasingly difficult to manage.

My solution to that problem is this website, my players and I can find information more easily than before, and I can more easily categorize my content into spells, items, npcs, pcs, villans, allies, etc. I plan to add backlinking to each drop, but that is a heafty undertaking which I have not yet attempted.

I have been running this campaigain since my junior year of high school in 2022, and I have been writing loredrops daily since the fall of 2023 during my freshman year of college. Initially I began writing these loredrops as a way of keeping track of characters and to get feedback on my writing so I can improve. Since I began I have shifted my focus away from simply keeping track of characters, and moved it to keeping track of my world so I can continue to make it grow, and so I can become a better writer, gamemaster and artist.

Building this website, aside from serving its purpose as a database of sorts, was intended as a way of allowing me to learn how to use HTML, CSS, JSON, JavaScript, PHP and how to create a website from scratch. Before this project I have mostly worked on backend development using Java, C++, C#, GDScript, and Python, only really doing front end development in Java and C# for small projects.

This website in its current state actually only has a fraction of what I have written for this campaigain on it, since more that half of what I have written has not been in a loredrop format. I will add this data as I build out the site, but I have well over 500 more files to document, tag and build out pages for total for over 100 thousand words, so it may take some time before everything is on here.
