An odd form of Lycanthropy that unlike others, has many forms they can turn into. Weremimics can appear as a normal humanoid at will regardless if they are shifted or not, and can change the shape of their body as they wish, so long as the form they transform into does not exceed the mass of their original form. Weremimics can also grow larger indefinitely as long as they continue to eat and produce a very sticky substance that can be used to trap their prey. While shifted into an object a Weremimic will be visually indistinguishable from an inanimate one until they move.
Day 181
A mysterious realm between planes that draws in unsuspecting souls, dead and alive, seemingly at random, snatching people from different times and locations, regardless if they could have naturally met otherwise. The Waylands appear to be a part of the Material Plane, but quickly after entering The Waylands gains an ever-growing sense that they are not in their old world. Time does not feel as though it passes here, and the sun in this realm doesn't move, but merely sits in the sky, shining down upon ground. Food here doesn't breakdown, the wind doesn't blow, the rain doesn't fall, the clouds never move, all that changes is the people who come to The Waylands. The Waylands themselves are composed of a constantly growing group of floating islands that orbit around a red star.
When a new island appears it often brings with it outsiders, who are first entering The Waylands. Those who have been sucked into The Waylands cannot truly perish nor age, nor need to eat nor breath; any injury they suffer will heal itself in just a few moments, making death not even an option of escape. That is not to say there is no danger within The Waylands. In fact there are a great many of dangers, from acidic swamps, hungry beasts, ancient creatures, and greatest of all, other people. It is unknown what will happen to you if you fall off one of the islands, as no one who ever did has returned, but it is suspected that they simply float through space forever. Though your body will always regenerate, you can still be harmed, and in effect tortured for great lengths of time.
Waylanders are people who have been forced to live in this bizarre realm. They come in all species, ages and genders, but what unites them are two things, the memory of the lives they once had, and the memories they can create. In this realm the only thing that breaks down is the mind, at first you are able to keep track of how long you have been their, you remember who you were before you got here, and the people you knew in your life, but after a while without your notice, those memories begin to fade. It begins with ordinary things, you might forget the word for something, or what someone looked like, but eventually you will forget who you even are, this makes having other people who remember who you are all the more important, so that they can remind you of things you have forgotten. Every person who comes into The Waylands knows one thing about it when they arrive, there is something they have to do to escape, but how one person might escape is different than how another might. Some must overcome some psychological trial, while other must achieve a great physical feat.
Day 182
A uncommon type of enchanted boots that are crafted by The Leatherworkers Guild of The Fractal Caverns, that typically sell for around 630 GP a pair. A hefty sum for the average worker, but a worthwhile investment in the long run. These boots gradually heal the wearers feet and lower legs, making long days standing, walking an carrying things all the easier.
