A mystical well that sits boarded up at the base of a hill outside Bunda, near the ruins of a city called Freihao abandoned by its inhabitants. To most this well simply appears as any other, but should you gaze into its depths you will become compelled to dive into them. Should you do so you will become engulfed in memories long buried within your mind, memories often better left forgotten. In the ruins of Freihao lives but one inhabitant, an old woman in a two story house that lies atop the hill near the well, which she has boarded up and claims that her twin sister drowned in, despite no one ever recovering a body from the well.
Day 178
A was a small city roughly 10 miles away from Bunda that was abandoned 56 years ago in the year 1320 by the remnants of its population after a plague of Inkblight wiped out most of its inhabitants. When the plague broke out the Inkblight quickly overtook the city in a matter of days, and soon became too widespread for the clerics of who lived there to handle. Not willing to risk the infection spreading to the capital King Phillip Delair Phries Enfer's father, King Ambrose Delair Phries Enfer, ordered for the quarantine of Freihao in hopes of staving off the epidemic.
Trade routes were closed and no-one was allowed in or out of the city for over a year without the accompaniment of a cleric who must cure them before they were allowed to travel away, which resulted in only the wealthy escaping the plague. Being sat atop a hill near the forest, Adora Lovat's home was isolated from the city, and consequently was not reached by the plague, as the Lovats lived off a small farm and scavenging in the woods for berries, mushrooms, wild vegetables and wild fruit. By 1328, Freihao was nearly abandoned except for the Lovats, with almost all of its inhabitants either having died, or fled.
Day 179
All manner of being that lived in what became the Magical Exclusion Zone were irrevocably changed when the weapon was deployed. Magical creatures lost their powers, and many simple became mundane beasts who merely resembled their former body. Spirits who lingered in the Material Plane became bound to the objects, but unable to manifest themselves within the Magical Exclusion Zone they have almost no hope of escape in the near future. All life within the Magical Exclusion Zone has gone through rapid change over the years since the bomb dropped, plants and animals alike have had to adapt to their new environment or perish as many have.
Some predators who relied upon their magical abilities to hunt their prey have found themselves unable to sustain themselves, which has lead to many predators to become more omnivorous, though on the other side prey have found themselves in a suddenly much less hostile environment, which has lead to many prey developing a more carnivorous diet which takes advantage niche left behind by the former predators. Many humanoid races left the exclusion zone after the explosion, which has caused it to become a much more wild place, filled with wild beasts and thick vegetation which makes traversing its mountains a precarious and arduous task.
