The Gushant

A group of dark skinned nomadic Humans who inhabit the dunes of Sadrust. They travel the dunes with their livestock to keep them from overgrazing the limited resources the deserts provide. These people are the decedents of the humans who came journeyed into the vacant deserts after the land was cursed by an ancient sorcerer as retribution for the slaughter of the Eiser. The land was cursed to with infertility and drought, until there is justice for the Eiser, but such retribution has yet to be seen, which has left the land desolate for thousands of years. After the curse fell the land quickly became devoid of life, leaving only the empty buildings of the Eiser to be buried beneath the sand.

Rous

A species of giant rats that inhabit swamps, sewers, farms, forests and damp dark areas. They are a common pest that can grow to the size of a black bear, but rarely live long enough to do so. New adventurers are often tasked with slaying infestations of Rous because they are more a hindrance than a threat. Often times there will be at least one request for an extermination in a sewer or basement posted no matter where you go, with requests only increasing in larger cities.
