A species of large grasshopper like insects that can become about the size of a Humans hand. They are present throughout the Central Planes, and are commonly considered a scourge upon the land that arises a few days after heavy rainfall in the warmer seasons, threatening to devour all they come in contact with, flesh and fiber alike. Often after heavy storms farmers and townsfolk will contact the nearest branch of The Adventure's Guild to file a request for extra hands fighting off the insects, or conscript traveling adventurers of mercenaries to their aid, rewarding them with payment, meals, shelter while their help.
Day 119
A sentient race of nearly humanoid people that resemble honey bees in both behavior and appearance. They have bug-like eyes, legs and wings, but an upper body similar to that of an elf, with long pointed ears and sharp facial features. These people typically gather in large colonies, ruled over by a lone queen, whom they will slaughter should she fall from grace. The Beekin often work together with farmers to cultivate crops, using the pollen they collect to create large amounts of honey, which they can then use or sell away. These people can be found all across Astea, most often living near farming towns and villages.
Day 120
A species of terrestrial mussels that live inside of abandoned or lost armor instead of a typical shell. When these mussels live inside of a full let of armor together they gradually learn how to move the armor as if by a person, eventually becoming capable of armed combat. Their progress is furthered quicker if the armor they inhabit is already possessed or enchanted to move. These mussels are most commonly found in warm humid climates, but have been observed to migrate in search of more suitable environments or for better hunting grounds.
