Cantrip Transmutation
Casting time:1 Action
Range:30 feet
Components:S
Duration:Instantaneous
Classes:Druid, Sorcerer, Wizard
You choose a portion of wax that you can see within range and that fits within a 5-foot cube. You manipulate it in one of the following ways:
You cause shapes, colors, or both to appear on the wax spelling out words, creating images, or shaping patterns.
If the wax you target is on the ground, you cause it to become difficult terrain. Alternatively, you can cause the ground to become normal terrain if it is already difficult terrain. This change lasts for 1 hour.
If you cast this spell multiple times, you can have no more than two of its non-instantaneous effects active at a time, and you can dismiss such an effect as an action.
Day 254
A continent of innate magical power which is home to few races, with the majority of the continent being inhabited by humans. In this land there is a kind of hierarchy that has arising amongst the people due to an ancient magic which is prevalent throughout the land, sorcery of the iridescent soul. Early on in this land the people learned how to exchange souls be it a fragment or multiple and how to prolong their lives with the souls of others. Through various different circumstances many have found themselves in a position where they were in dire need of something to survive., at which point they would sell a piece of their soul in exchange for something.
Every time a fragment of your soul is sold you lose a bit of the color in your eyes, your body looses it saturation, your youthfulness fades and your emotions fade. When your soul has been completely sold you become nearly devoid of all emotion, and your body fades into gray hues. Grays as they've been called still have their desires, hopes and aspirations but they cannot feel the pain of loss or the joy of creation. This emotionlessness makes menial repetitive tasks much easier to perform, and as such a system has been developed around multiple cities in which a worker will give away their soul for a day to a trusted person while they work.
As a result of this ritual of sorts soul banks have sprung up for citizens to store their souls in for extended periods of time. However should one go on too long without a soul they will lose all of their desires, then their memories and eventually they will become a mere shell of a person.
When in this state they are called Hollows, and can be commanded by any who imbues a soul fragment into them. Commonly those who are on their deathbed will pass on their soul to their children or loved ones. The more souls one possesses at any give point the more powerful and youthful they become. At certain thresholds they gain certain abilities, such as perfect pitch, the ability to animate objects and to even escape death at the cost of their memories.
